Antonella Ricci was born in Ceglie Messapica, in Salento (Puglia). Her family owns the celebrated restaurant “Al fornello da Ricci” that has been open for 47 years and has held a Michelin Star for 19. Truly Italian cuisine and its excellence is her passion: an attractive mosaic made up of  a “collection” of ingredients and recipes, traditions and habits of the 20 Regions. Antonella Ricci and Vinod Sookar, her husband, chef and business partner, met in his country of origin, the Mauritius Islands, almost 20 years ago. Antonella is one of the stars of Italian cuisine. For her deep knowledge of ingredients and highly qualified techniques she has been chosen to teach at the Alma Cooking School in Parma, founded by Gualtiero Marchesi. The so called “miracle” of Ricci is that VIPS come from all over the world to their small town of Ceglie Messapica in Puglia to enjoy the true taste of Italy.
