Award-winning Chef Daniele  Repetti’s professional story begins immediately after leaving hotel and catering school in Salsomaggiore. At age 20 he was already managing the kitchen of El Toulà restaurant in Rome where the international environment enriched him and helped him grow professionally. In 1996, he and his wife, Lucy, opened Nido del Picchio, which has won numerous awards over the year. Since 2007, Nido del Picchio has been recognized with a Michelin star.

"My cooking is based upon the use of high quality raw materials, and perfectly combining a few ingredients in each dish to let each flavour, colour or texture shine through.
My dishes have been inspired by my passion for food and from over 20 years of cooking, researching and experimenting with excellent ingredients from our local area."
