Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers has announced a one-time-only exclusive seven-starred dinner as part of the 2014 Italian Cuisine World Summit being hosted in Dubai – the first ever to be held here is this growing gastronomic city.

Set to take place on 19 November at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Vivaldi by Alfredo Russo, the special menu is being composed by five Michelin-starred chefs, including Sheraton Dubai Creek’s own Alfredo Russo, who in total have an impressive seven Michelin stars between them.

Joining the renowned Michelin-starred Alfredo Russo will be Marco Sacco (two-stars), the Serva brothers (one star each), and Vincenzo Candiano (two-stars), to prepare a one-time-only five- course menu concocted of quality ingredients and an array of Italian tastes. Each chef will prepare a dish that is reflective of not only their style of cooking, but also where in Italy they are from meaning that diners will be able to undergo a culinary journey of an epic scale never seen before here in the cosmopolitan Emirate.

The unique event is being put together in tribute to the seven Emirates of the UAE, and diners will have the special opportunity to meet with the illustrious chefs during the meal.

In its sixth edition, the Italian Cuisine World Summit returns to Dubai from 7 – 20 November following the staggering success of the 2013 edition. In only its second year in Dubai, the Summit has become the world’s most influential fair for Italian quality food, beverages and lifestyle, and helps crown Dubai as the ultimate World Food Capital.

Sheraton Dubai Creek’s premier Italian restaurant with breathtaking views of the historic Dubai Creek, Vivaldi by Alfredo Russo, will be hosting this event exclusively for 80 diners only, for AED 695 per person with paired beverages. There is also an option to book at AED 795 per person,

which will include private car transportation to and from the hotel (minimum 2 person booking for Dubai based residents only).

The restaurant will also be hosting another dinner on 18th November, whereby guest chef Pasquale Palamaro, another Michelin-starred chef who is taking part in the summit will produce a signature menu for the foodies of Dubai to enjoy. This will serve as a prelude of what is to come on the following evening.

Under the auspices of the Italian Consul General in Dubai Giovanni Favilli and the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, the Italian Cuisine World Summit 2014 presented the certificates to the first 3 participants (chef Vincenzo Raschella, from Jeddah, in the picture) during a special graduation dinner signed by chef Vincenzo Guarino of L'Accanto, Angiolieri Hotel (Vico Equenze - Na)*. The Accademia Italiana della Cucina rewarded Chefs Vincenzo Perez (Course Coordinator), Walter Potenza (Course Teaching Leader) and Helen Morris (The Emirates Academy of Hospitality) with their special plate, for their role as educators and or facilitators of education to the the Italian culinary traditions and tenets.

The Italian Cuisine World Summit returns to Dubai for its 6th edition in November.

A highlight of this year’s edition is the Piazza Grande Show, the best Italian Food show ever,  at The Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, November 14th and 15th.

Foodies and their families can get ready for two days of all things Italian, including Fresh pasta making on the spot, Tuscan meat Grill, Pizza area, Gelato, Aperitivo and Italian beverages, Burrata and Mozzarella Bars and many other delicacies from Italy. The event wills see the participation of Michelin Starred Guest Chefs and have a fun schedule of entertainment; music, acrobatic pizzaiolo performances and live competitions. The Pizza world champion chef Marcello D Erasmo will be there cooking fried pizza at the fritta boot.The acrobatic pizza world champion Pasqualino Barbasso and the master pizza pop art Domenico Crolla will also perform during the 2 days. The master celebrity butcher Simone Fracassi will prepare the best Italian grilled beef. Club to host seven celebrity chef evening


Culinary enthusiasts in Dubai are in for a treat as the annual Italian Cuisine World Summit makes its second consecutive appearance in the city, and the Capital Club, Dubai’s premier private City Club and member of the ENSHAA group of Companies, is set to be front and centre of the food extravaganza’s delectable range of events.


Running from the 7th to the 20th of November, the Italian Cuisine World Summit will be bringing 30 of Italy’s best chefs – with a collective 40 Michelin stars among them – for a frenzied two weeks dedicated to celebrating one of the world’s best loved culinary traditions and the Capital Club will be hosting no less than eight of these gastronomic impresarios for a series of tantalizing celebrity chef evenings.

The 6th Edition of the Italian Cuisine World Summit 2014, which crowns Dubai as the ultimate World Food Capital, will start with an extraordinary Gala Opening Party at The Rixos Hotel on the Palm on November 7, 2014.

Last year over 450 guests participated in the Party, the cream of Dubai F&B industry, distinguished media, VIPs and discerning food lovers who enjoy the best of what Made in Italy has to offer. A similar crowd is expected this year to welcome a stream of 30 other Michelin-Starred Italian chefs who will join forces with local Italian chefs in some of Dubai’s most exclusive Italian restaurants with a common aim: to showcase, celebrate, promote and educate about traditional cuisine and its quality ingredients.

Michelin-starred Master Italian chefs TANO SIMONATO (Tano Passami l’olio, Milan *), CLAUDIO SADLER (Sadler Restaurant, Milan **) and TOMMASO ARRIGONI (Innocenti Evasioni, Milan*) will present exclusive creations they developed specifically for this Gala Evening. The world’s best Italian chefs descend on Dubai for a unique series of cooking classes – BOOK YOURS


One of the main feature of the Summit will be an extensive series of cooking classes held by the master chefs throughout and aimed towards both professionals and amateurs.

Course participants will learn how to prepare a range of healthy, nutritious yet tasteful Italian dishes (pasta, risotto, salads etc), choosing ingredients, flavour strategies and using the latest professional equipment. There will also be classes on Italian baking and pastry principles, as well as healthy cooking methods. In true hospitable Italian style, the courses include the lunch that comes at the end.

“It presents a unique opportunity to take cooking classes with a Michelin-starred chef at very affordable prices,” commented Rosario Scarpato, original creator and current director of the Summit.


Classes will be held at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, with a different chef holding morning and afternoon master classes on each of the days throughout the two weeks. Each will provide a hands-on learning experience on different aspects of Italian cuisine and contemporary trends.


The classes are divided into three main categories: Professional Italian Cuisine Certificate of Proficiency, Learn Italian Cuisine for Professionals and Serious Amateurs, and the Italian White Truffle Expert Certificate. Participants have the option to book the classes they wish to attend over the period. Those that attend the full Course receive a graduation certificate.
